RED LAKE COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly activity report for the period of October 3 through October 10, 2025. The week included several arrests, traffic citations, and a two-vehicle crash north of Plummer.
Arrests and Warrants
On the afternoon of October 3, deputies arrested Janella Rose Rude, 44, of Plummer, at her residence on an active Pennington County warrant. She was turned over to Pennington County authorities.

During the same incident, Brandeis Jayde Olberg, 45, of Newfolden, was also arrested at the residence and taken to the Crookston jail on a felony charge of aiding an offender to avoid arrest. Olberg was released from custody on October 6 and appeared in Red Lake Falls District Court on October 8. He remains free pending his next court appearance.

Traffic and Citations
That evening, Austin Michael Case, 24, of Crookston, was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on Main Avenue in Red Lake Falls.
On the morning of October 4, deputies responded to a report of a golf cart failing to stop at a stop sign near the intersection of International Drive and Champagne Avenue in Red Lake Falls. The suspect, Demara Jade Reynolds, 30, of Red Lake Falls, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and no valid driver’s license.
Later that evening, Samantha Elizabeth Chaput, 35, of Red Lake Falls, was cited for driving after cancellation and no proof of insurance on Main Avenue in Red Lake Falls.
Disturbance and Juvenile Case
On the evening of October 5, a deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence in Red Lake Falls Township involving a verbal dispute between a juvenile and a parent. The situation was mediated at the scene.
On the afternoon of October 8, deputies investigated a possible domestic assault that occurred at a Plummer residence on October 6. A juvenile suspect was apprehended at Plummer School and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Crookston. The case remains under investigation.
Probation Violation and Warrant Resolution
On the evening of October 6, Brenton Troy Gerholdt, 40, of Oklee, was arrested at an Oklee residence for violating the terms of supervised probation. He was taken to jail in Crookston and released on October 9.

On the morning of October 8, the Minnesota State Patrol reported that troopers in Beltrami County encountered Jason Wayne King, 43, of Red Lake, during a traffic stop. King had an active Red Lake County misdemeanor warrant, but was able to pay $200 cash to satisfy it and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 22 in Red Lake Falls.
Crash Near Plummer
Later that same afternoon, Red Lake County deputies, along with multiple agencies, responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 59 and County Road 26 north of Plummer. The Plummer Fire Department, Oklee Ambulance, Minnesota State Patrol, MnDOT, and a DNR Conservation Officer assisted at the scene. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and declined transport. The vehicles were severely damaged and towed from the site. The Minnesota State Patrol is leading the crash investigation.
According to Sheriff Mitch Bernstein, all incidents remain under review, and further updates will be provided as investigations continue.
