the superintendent of Thief River Falls schools Bradley Bergstrom tells i-news they are conducting their own investigation of a Christmastime party that led to a sexual assault charge against one man Bergstrom says he can’t talk about it yet but he says they will be releasing a statement soon at this point facts of the case show a school employee may have been at a party where a sexual assault occurred at a private residence but that employee had no part in the incident and no minors or students from the school were involved court records say it happened December 27th at a party at a Thief River residence the female victim became very intoxicated and was put on a bed in a bedroom the suspect in the case 19 year-old Logan Lane of Thief River is charged with felony criminal sexual conduct for allegedly having sex with the victim knowing she was physically helpless due to intoxication Lane is also charged with a gross misdemeanor of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly engaging in non-consensual sex however Lane stated in the police report that he was tired and laid down on an empty bed in the same bedroom as the alleged victim Lane says she crawled into his bed and initiated sex however another witness says that story doesn’t add up because the victim was passed out I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news dot TV
