Even though evangelists from this group are typically quite obnoxious, I feel compassion for these guys, and not in a patronizing way. I think it's very normal for people from historically marginalized ethnicities to relate to the epic stories in the Bible about the Hebrews who were enslaved by the Egyptians and then freed miraculously, only to be repeatedly kidnapped, and bought and sold by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans etc…and yet through it all, amazingly somehow retained an identity and a sense of destiny because of the promises made to their Ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel in particular. However, just because you want something to be true, doesn't mean it becomes true. While it's true that there are some African Jews who do have the DNA to prove some Jewish ancestry, it does not follow that every person of color is somehow a descendant of Jewish ancestors. This is similar to the fanciful fiction in the book of Mormon claiming that Native Americans were actually descendants of the "lost tribes of Israel", except their idea up until about 11 years ago was that the righteous "Nephites" were white and good looking but the evil "Lamanites" were cursed by God with black skin for their sins before they were born. Now there are many white folks that believe they are somehow descendants of Ephraim through the line of Joseph which is equally silly. So, the truth is, there is a lot of racism in the religions and cults of this world. I would hope that everyone who truly believes that skin color is a sign of Divine favor or Divine judgment will look to the non-white Middle Eastern Messiah Jesus Christ. When you are "In Christ", there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile, Male and Female, Enslaved and Free…that is from Galatians 3:28. I would add that when the Apostle John got a sneak peak at the people in Heaven, he said they were from "every tribe and tongue", and no one was considered inferior or superior because of their skin color.

Disorderly conduct is illegal. Noise ordinance violation was observed in the video. The police need to really crack down on this type of stuff wherever it pops up its ugly head.
Downtown is becoming a really urban type of environment at times. If the community doesn't do anything to stop it the beauty of Grand Forks will be lost.
