THIEF RIVER FALLS (trfnews.i234.me) — A Thief River Falls woman is facing a felony drug charge after testing positive for cocaine while on probation near a school zone.
According to court records, Amanda Lynn Francis Molash, 26, has been charged in Pennington County District Court with felony third-degree controlled substance crime in a school zone. She was taken into custody on October 21 after her probation officer contacted the sheriff’s office.
The complaint states Molash was on supervised probation for a separate case in Roseau County. She allegedly admitted to using cocaine while caring for her 3-month-old child. During the same meeting, officers say she possessed a powder substance that field-tested positive for cocaine.
The suspected drug was sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for further testing. The complaint also notes that the probation office where the incident occurred is located approximately 244 feet from Lincoln High School, qualifying it as a school zone offense.
Molash remains under investigation, and further testing results are pending from the BCA lab.
