Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) A Princeton, Minnesota man is facing several felony charges after a reported break-in at a Grand Forks home. The incident involved a garage, a residence, and a child who spotted the suspect inside the house.
According to court documents, the incident happened on November 5 at 1:57 a.m. The homeowners reviewed their security system and saw a man inside their garage. The video showed the suspect entering a pickup truck that was parked inside.
The man was later seen inside the residence itself. A child in the home reported seeing him in the house. The homeowner confronted the suspect and escorted him outside. Officers arrived and arrested the man moments later.
The suspect was identified as Troy A. Meleen of Princeton, Minnesota. Police say Meleen still had the truck keys in his possession when he was taken into custody.
Meleen is now charged with two felony counts of burglary. He also faces two felony counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft of property. Court dates will be scheduled as the case moves forward.
