Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) – An East Grand Forks woman has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for selling fentanyl in Polk County.

On Tuesday, July 22, Tracy Ann Hangsleben, 50, received a 73-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to first-degree sale of a controlled substance. Three additional felony charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal.

According to court documents, Hangsleben faced a possible 30-year maximum sentence. The case involved two transactions in January 2024 in which a confidential informant paid her $250 for 10 fentanyl pills and $750 for 30 more. She was also accused of arranging another fentanyl deal between the informant and a third party.

Hangsleben received credit for 30 days already served in custody.
