Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) — A bizarre traffic violation rattled Polk County Monday evening as East Grand Forks police ticketed a driver caught illegally cruising along the dyke on the greenway.

According to authorities, the driver was spotted navigating their vehicle on the dyke located at the south end of East Grand Forks. Law enforcement responded quickly, issuing a citation for the offense. While details on the fine amount remain unclear, officials confirmed that driving on the dyke is strictly prohibited by law in the greater Grand Forks area.

Police remind residents that the dyke and greenway are designated for pedestrian and recreational use only — not for vehicles.
