It wasn’t assault he was invited in and than assault and he was defending himself until that one decided to grab a gun knowing that gun would kill my homie teejay! My niggas shoes even off all his shit was still there like who brings their things in and takes their shoes off if they was gunna fight like come tf on man! I was told first hand by the other one there that he started with Teejay! That they were chilling and Cory started shit with Teejay! Also there’s been many previous threats from Cory to Teejay! Everyone in that apartment was friends with Teejay only one that always seemed to have a problem with Teejay was Cory! I’ve heard myself many times Cory threaten Teejay or trying to start with my homie but he was always the bigger person and walked away he didn’t want drama in his life he was truly so far in turning his life around! He told me that himself! This shit was MURDER! Nothing else! My homie Teejay Alvarez was a good caring big hearted person and doesnt deserve not to have justice!
I was born in Fosston 68 years ago and it is a town that has not grown or kept up with times. The whole area is so racist against Natives as far as I have experienced…it doesn’t surprise me that the District Attorney or whoever does the charging is .minimizing this because we just don’t matter there
Sorry to say but TeeJay will never get justice because the prosecution has already decided that his life wasn’t worth anything. The assault charge is a slap in the face to everyone who knew and loved TeeJay!!!!! If taking a gun and shooting another human being is reduced to assault there will be many more deaths on our reservation because nobody in power cares if we go around killing each other. Open your eyes people. If we want justice we have to change their minds about the value of our people.
