Police discover four bodies in Grand Forks residence

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Four people have been found dead in a Grand Forks, North Dakota home. Police say it appears there was forced entry to the home.
Neil Berg here was some breaking news out of Grand Forks four bodies have been found inside a home on 12th Street on the ten hundred block this would be behind Paradiso on South Washington Street this all started this morning when a Lewis and Clark school called the police to do a welfare check apparently on a student who didn’t show up for school an officer went to this residence back there and initially found a body and forced entry into the home further investigation revealed four bodies inside the home no word yet done exactly how they died but four bodies have been found inside the home here on 12th Street for those of you familiar with Grand Forks this would be behind paradise O’s on South Washington Street no indication yet on exactly how they died officer reported that there had been forced entry into the home are waiting to talk with the lieutenant they’re example here in just a second to maybe get a little more information on all this again we’re on the 1000 block of 12th Street in Grand Forks that would be almost just behind Paradiso of South Washington Street okay we’re recording live now can I talk to you Derek and this is a lieutenant Derick zimmel with the Grand Forks Police Department so what can you tell me so far this morning the administration at Lewis & Clark elementary school contacted our one of our elementary school liaison officers the one that’s assigned to that school and requested that a welfare check be done at residents on South and Grand Forks when the officer arrived he could observe what appeared to be a body inside the residence so he forced entry and initial investigation within the residence indicates that there were four deceased bodies inside so obviously we have a scene here we’re encouraging the public to remain clear of the area as per the release we don’t have any specific information about a specific and ongoing threat to the general public safety at this time but at the same time given the nature of this incident we also can’t say with with the degree of certainty that there’s not so that’s an aspect of the investigation that’s very much on the forefront of what we’re trying to establish so you said one person may be found by the door I mean is this one person unrelated to three other family members found inside the home no what I said is he could observe one what appeared to be a body inside in any forced entry into the residence we’re not gonna get into details about ages relationships anything like that at this time I would expect additional details to be released as they become established and available and everybody’s question any indication of how they died again there are certain aspects of the investigation that we need to withhold at this time rest assured those will be coming out at at the appropriate time okay make it sorry thing right again just to recap here among the 1000 block of South 12th Street in Grand Forks four bodies found inside this home back there this morning we’ll keep you updated as to any new developments in Grand Forks I’m Neil Berg reporting for I news TV
