Police Activity At Grand Forks Ramada Inn Not Linked To ICE Raid
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — A large police presence at the Ramada Inn in Grand Forks on Tuesday afternoon led to speculation of an immigration raid, but hotel staff tell TRF News that the incident was not related to ICE operations.
According to an employee at the Ramada, multiple law enforcement officers — including Grand Forks Police Department and Grand Forks County Sheriff’s deputies — were at the hotel during the afternoon hours. The employee said several unmarked vehicles were also seen at the scene.
The employee confirmed that one man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. The suspect, described as Caucasian, was arrested without incident. No other arrests or detentions were reported, and police have not released the individual’s name or the nature of the warrant.
Rumors had circulated among guests that the activity was related to a possible ICE raid, with some messages and warning signs reportedly appearing inside the hotel. However, law enforcement and hotel staff have clarified that the operation was a local warrant arrest, not an immigration enforcement action.
TRF News has reached out to the Grand Forks Police Department for further details and will provide updates as new information becomes available.
