PINE COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – Two people are in custody following a traffic stop that led to a significant drug and firearms seizure in Pine County.
According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests occurred around 12:17 a.m. Sunday in Hinckley. A deputy conducted a traffic stop and developed reasonable suspicion, prompting the call for K9 Flint to assist. The dog alerted to the presence of narcotics.
A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 90 grams of methamphetamine and two firearms. Authorities identified the suspects as Joshua Benvie of Two Harbors and Zoey Lehtinen of Grand Marais. Both were booked into the Pine County Jail and are awaiting formal charges.
