Pettibone Rollover Kills 18-Year-Old Woman
PETTIBONE, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — An 18-year-old Jamestown woman died in a rollover crash Sunday evening west of Pettibone.
The single-vehicle crash happened at 7:15 p.m. on June 21. It occurred near 21st Street Southeast and 44th Avenue Southeast.
The site is about two miles west of Pettibone in Kidder County.
Car Rolled After Turn
The woman was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu north on 44th Avenue Southeast.
She then turned east onto 21st Street Southeast, according to the crash report.
The driver lost control on the gravel road. The Malibu then rolled.
The woman suffered fatal injuries. She died at the scene before transport to a hospital.
Authorities said she was not wearing a seat belt. Her name has not been released.
The report did not identify any passengers. It also did not list any other vehicles.
Road and Weather Were Dry
The road surface was dry gravel when the crash happened. Weather conditions were also reported as dry.
Several emergency agencies responded to the scene.
They included the North Dakota State Patrol and the Kidder County Sheriff’s Office.
Pettibone Rural Fire, Steele Fire and Rescue, and Steele Ambulance also assisted.
