Jeffrey Lee Schultes, 62, of rural Perham, has been charged with felony third-degree drug possession following a traffic stop in Becker County. According to court records, Schultes was pulled over on June 12 by a state trooper on Highway 59 near Stony Road. During the stop, Schultes admitted to having a methamphetamine pipe in the vehicle’s center console.
A K9 search of the vehicle revealed two pipes commonly used for smoking meth and a quantity of methamphetamine weighing approximately 12-13 grams, including packaging.
Schultes was scheduled to appear in court but failed to show up, leading to an arrest warrant being issued on June 24. He now faces serious drug-related charges and remains at large until his next court appearance.
