Paul Harrell, a highly regarded U.S. Army and Marine Corps veteran, and celebrated YouTube firearms educator, has passed away at the age of 63. Harrell, known for his impactful and educational content on firearms and gun rights, established a strong presence on YouTube with his channel, “Paul Harrell,” which he launched in 2012.
Before gaining fame on “GunTube”—a term for YouTube content dedicated to firearms—Harrell served honorably in both the Army and Marine Corps. His channel quickly gained traction, amassing over 1 million subscribers who valued his insights on gun safety, firearm usage, and the broader implications of gun rights.

Reflecting on his work, Harrell stated in his farewell video, “My goal in doing all this was just to have fun, do some things that were fun, but primarily to put out useful information.”
Tributes have poured in from across the gun community, celebrating Harrell’s contributions and impact. His legacy as a knowledgeable and passionate advocate for gun rights will be remembered fondly by many.
