Paul “Paco” Clausen, 74 of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at his home of natural causes.
Paul was born the fifth child of Clifford and Mildred (Blassingham) Clausen on August 27, 1950, in Grand Forks. He was raised and educated in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Paul graduated from East Grand Forks High School in 1968. He attended Aakers Business College receiving a degree in Business Management. Paul worked as district manager for Holiday Gas Stations from 1974-1979 and was a supervisor for Baltimore Spice from 1979-2006. He also worked for the US Census Bureau, worked as an inventory contractor, handyman and did some lawn care.
Paul was a history enthusiast and especially enjoyed attending the reenactment of Custer’s Last Stand. He was active at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and was known for his famous pumpkin bars. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his siblings, nieces and nephews.
Paul is survived by his siblings, Charles Clausen, Mary Case, Lyle (Donna McLean) Clausen, Steven (Suzie) Clausen, Grace (Kent) Asheim and Kathy (Todd) Johnston; sister-in-law, Candy Clausen; numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Clausen.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Amundson Funeral Home followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
