FARGO (trfnews.i234.me) https://trfnews.i234.me ā Fargo police confirm one person is dead and two others injured after an early morning shooting in downtown Fargo, with a separate homicide reported shortly afterward in another part of the city.
Police say the first incident occurred at 1:56 a.m. Sunday on the 50 block of Broadway. Officers arriving at the scene found three adults with gunshot wounds and began providing aid. Due to a large and unruly crowd, mutual aid was requested from surrounding agencies for scene control and public safety.
Authorities report that one victim was pronounced dead, a second remains in critical condition, and a third sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the deceased will be released after family notifications.
About 30 minutes later, at 2:26 a.m., police responded to a separate report of gunfire in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South. Officers located another deceased individual at that scene. Investigators have not yet determined whether the two shootings are connected.
Both cases remain active investigations, and additional details are expected as they become available.
