Oklee Resident Injured in Mobile Home Fire

Red Lake County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On December 29, a mobile home fire occurred on Bourden Street in Oklee, Minnesota. The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received the report in the early morning hours. Emergency responders, including deputies, the Oklee Fire Department, and Oklee Ambulance, were dispatched to the scene.

The occupant, Rodney Smith, aged 58, had exited the structure before their arrival. He was transported to Essentia Hospital in Fosston for medical evaluation.

Firefighters worked for approximately one hour to control the blaze. The mobile home sustained significant damage. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted to assist with the investigation. Preliminary findings suggest the fire originated in the living room area; however, the exact cause is currently undetermined. The investigation is ongoing.
