Ogema, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Two men have been charged with weapons-related crimes in Becker County District Court following an investigation into a shots-fired incident in White Earth.
Shots Fired Report Leads to Investigation
On December 27, 2025, law enforcement responded to a report of shots fired on the 36000 block of Loon Drive in White Earth. Two individuals reported hearing five shots in the area.
Search and Arrests
Following the report, officers obtained a search warrant for the residence where the two defendants, Elias Trinidad Thompson, 22, of rural Ogema, and Fernando Enriquez Thompson, 25, of Richfield, Minnesota, were staying. The search uncovered a Glock 19x 9mm handgun in Fernando’s bedroom and a smaller Springfield XDS-9 9mm handgun in a towel on a banister.
Further investigation revealed that both firearms were stolen, one from St. Cloud and the other from Minneapolis. The officers also discovered ammunition and Glock magazines at the residence, including live rounds of 9mm ammunition and several types of ammunition for different guns.


Charges and Bail
Elias Thompson was charged with felon in possession of a gun and receiving stolen property. Fernando Enriquez Thompson faces charges of receiving stolen property.
Elias, who has a prior felony conviction for first-degree burglary, is prohibited from possessing guns or ammunition. On December 30, 2025, Elias’s bail was set at $50,000 with no conditions or $25,000 with conditions. He remained in jail as of January 22, 2026.
Fernando was granted bail with a $300 cash bond and was released under standard conditions.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Both men are scheduled for their next court appearance on January 26, 2026, before District Judge Gretchen D. Thilmony.
