Mark Skibicki, 67, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN on April 22, 2024 at 1:30 PM with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN. 

Mark Allen Skibicki was born on July 30, 1956 in Thief River Falls, MN to Stanley Sr. and Doris (Sturre) Skibicki. He attended elementary and high school in Goodridge, MN. Mark joined the United States Navy on July 24, 1975 in Fargo, ND. He was stationed in Seattle, WA and served aboard the USS Gray (FF-1054). Mark was honorably discharged on July 23, 1979. He re-enlisted on October 6, 1986 in Fargo, ND. He was assigned to the USS Cushing (DD 985). Mark was honorably discharged on October 5, 1988.  In the early years, Mark worked at Hydra-Mac and Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls.

Mark was employed by Down’s Inc. in Langdon, ND as a semi driver. He enjoyed being a semi driver and he especially enjoyed his “trucker” family. 

Mark married Connie Stevens on October 7, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple split their time between Langdon and Thief River Falls. 

Mark is survived by his wife Connie; children, Rachel Skibicki and Samantha Skibicki; 4 stepchildren, Stacy Gydesen, Shawn McMahon, Jodi Olson, and Chad Olson; grandchildren, Stormi Lyn, Vada, Jaycen, Axel, Brock, Megan, Michael, Hailey, Ivy, Peyton, Jonah, Liam, Brody, Tristan, and Christopher; great-grandson, Jayden James; siblings, Mike (Brenda) Skibicki of Thief River Falls, MN, Stanley (Patty) Skibicki Jr. of Goodridge, MN, Sarah Weber of Thief River Falls, MN, Myrna Jagol of Thief River Falls, MN, Myles Skibicki of Goodridge, MN; sister-in-law, Donna (Larry) Scheldrup; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his trucker family.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, brother Clark Skibicki, and two infant sisters.
