THIEF RIVER FALLS (trfnews.i234.me) — Idelle Joyce (Kasprick) Bjorgaard, 75, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by her family at Glenfield Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Idelle was born January 1, 1950, in Grafton, North Dakota, to Bernard (Barney) and Audrey (Ebertowski) Kasprick. On May 25, 1968, she married George Edward Bjorgaard in Argyle, Minnesota. In 1974, the couple moved to the Twin Cities area, where they built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work.

Known for her kindness and creativity, Idelle enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. She especially loved playing cards and bingo. After moving to the metro area, Idelle held a variety of jobs before becoming one of the largest paper route drivers in Dakota County, Minnesota.

Her passion for helping others led her to earn a Practical Nursing Degree from Dakota Technical Institute on January 18, 1989. As a home health care nurse, she touched many lives through her compassion and dedication to care.

Idelle is survived by her sons Corey (Darcie) Bjorgaard of Montgomery, MN, and Brady (Megan) Bjorgaard of Lonsdale, MN; grandchildren Riley and Keyton Bjorgaard and Cody Sindelir; and siblings Ione (Gary) Sabo of Osseo, MN, Marlys (Dave) Moose of New Folden, MN, Marlene Polansky of Rochester, MN, and Paul (Shelly) Kasprick of Thief River Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bjorgaard; her parents, Bernard (Barney) and Audrey Kasprick; parents-in-law, Arnold and Sue Bjorgaard; brother-in-law, Kenneth Bjorgaard; sister-in-law, Kathy Bjorgaard; brother-in-law, Mark Polansky; and nephew Shane Olson.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Thief River Falls on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and a luncheon to follow. A private family interment for both George and Idelle Bjorgaard will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
