Dorothy Ann Blodgett, 91, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Thief River Care Center, Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at Obit, Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Obit, Thief River Falls, MN.
Private burial service will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
On January 20, 1933, Dorothy was born to Arthur and Clara (Jacobson) Muzzy at home in Thief River Falls, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church, Thief River Falls, MN. Dorothy attended County Line School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. She attended nursing school in Thief River Falls, MN, receiving a LPN License. Dorothy worked at Oakland Park Nursing Home, Thief River Falls, MN. Dorothy moved to Great Falls, MT, where she met Ned Blodgett.
On May 25, 1957, Dorothy was united in marriage to Ned Blodgett in Thief River Falls, MN. They lived in Great Falls, MT, Plattsburgh, NY, Denver, CO, Clovis, NM, Clark Air Base, Philippines and Tucson, AZ. In July of 1976, the family moved to Thief River Falls, MN. Dorothy continued to work in the nursing field in Thief River Falls. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by 3 children: Susan Blodgett, Nancy J. (Warren) Fellman and Yvonne Blodgett, all of Thief River Falls, MN; 4 grandchildren: David (Brenda) Fellman, Christopher Fellman, Heather (Corey) Potucek and Brian (Tia) Fellman; 2 great-grandchildren: Dakota and Austin Fellman, Tyson Potucek, Ken Fellman; great-great grandchildren: Willow and Grayson; several cousins, nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Blodgett, great-grandson, Anthony Fellman, her parents, siblings: Phillip Jeanette, James Muzzy, and Carol (Curtis) trfnews.i234.me.
