Obituary | Cynthia Lou Nomeland of Thief River Falls, Minnesota

Cynthia Lou Nomeland, 61, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Unity Medical Center, Grafton, ND.

Memorial services will be at a later date.

On November 23, 1962, Cynthia was born to Donald and Patricia (Kjellberg) Nomeland in Thief River Falls, MN.  She attended school in Thief River Falls, MN, before moving to South Dakota and later to Willmar, MN.  She returned to Thief River Falls in the early 1990’s to be around family.  In 2023, Cynthia developed cancer which she fought with her family’s support.  Those around her said she carried herself with grace and bravery.

Cynthia had a loving place in her heart for all nieces and nephews in her life.  She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, father, niece and nephews.  Cynthia had a rough exterior that hid a very soft heart.  Her dog Shelby and cat Baby will be waiting for her on the Rain Bow Bridge.  The family is thankful that Cynthia is in the arms of her mother that she loved so very much.

Cynthia is survived by her father, Donald Nomeland; two sisters: Tammy Nomeland and Vicky Moman; nephew and nieces: Devin Moman, Mackenzie Rieke, Terra Nomeland, and Taylor Alkire; great-nieces and nephews: Chase Nomeland, Jason trfnews.i234.me, Berrett Rieke and Willow Alkire; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Kjellberg.
