North Dakota State Trooper’s Patrol Car Hit, Arrest Made in East Grand Forks

JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) An East Grand Forks woman was arrested Thursday evening, after allegedly side swiping a North Dakota High Patrolman’s vehicle parked along Interstate-94 by Jamestown.
a north dakota trooper escaped injury after his vehicle was sideswiped on i-94 by jamestown thursday evening the patrol says at 7 25 pm a trooper was assisting a stranded motorist and tow truck in the eastbound lane of i-94 at mile marker 257 at jamestown vehicle had broken down along the eastbound median shoulder tow truck was on the scene to remove the stranded vehicle the trooper was on the scene with their emergency lights activated to ward traffic of the strat stranded vehicle and tow truck a 2002 chevy impella approached the trooper vehicle in the left lane of eastbound i-94 slowed then sideswiped the patrol vehicle after striking the patrol vehicle the impala did not stop and continued eastbound the trooper left the stranded motorist and tow truck and stopped the impella stutzman county sheriff’s office responded and completed an investigation of the crash of the 2018 ford explorer the troopers vehicle shown here the suspect from the impala was angela rose fickardt 51 of east grand forks minnesota sussman county sheriff’s office arrested fickard for driving under suspension and on an outstanding morton county north dakota arrest warrant for failure to appear on a previous driving under suspension charge fickert was also cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving without liability insurance the sussman county sheriff’s office is investigating the non-reportable crash neither fickett or fickert or the trooper were injured in the crash the trooper was seated in the patrol vehicle and seat belted at the time it’s unknown at this time if thicker was restrained at the time of the crash i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
