SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Norah Roberts is positioned in fourth place and the North Dakota State women’s golf team sits in third place after the first two rounds of play at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Monday afternoon at Twin Oaks Country Club.
Roberts carded a 72 (+1) with four birdies in the opening round and closed the day with a 72 (+1) in the second round that included one birdie and an eagle on hole 18. She finished the round with a 144 (+2) on the par 71 course and sits in fourth place.
Elise Hoven (76-72–148), Cora Larson (77-71–148) and Madi Hicks (75-73–148) are all locked in a tie for seventh place. Hoven posted a 76 in the first round before carding a 72 (+1) in the second with two birdies.
Larson started the day with a 77 and bounced back firing an even 71 with two birdies to finish with a two-round total of 148. Hicks notched a 75 in the first round and closed the day with a 73 (+2) with two birdies.
Hannah Dunk (74-75–149) rounded out the group tied for 11th place after recording a 74 with four birdies in the first round and a 75 in the second round to finish with a two-round total of 149.
As a team, the Bison put together rounds of 297 and 288 for a two-round total of 585 and are positioned in third place. Omaha (294-284–578) and Oral Roberts (293-285–578) are tied for first place.
