Nay Tah Waush (trfnews.i234.me) — Martha Christine Hoover, 56, of Mahnomen, is facing a gross misdemeanor liquor charge in Mahnomen County District Court.
The charge stems from an underage alcohol compliance check on October 28, 2025.
Court records list the case as 44-CR-26-159.
Hoover is charged with furnishing alcoholic beverages to a person under 21 years old.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail.
It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.
Underage Compliance Check At Pinehurst
According to the complaint, local and state task force agents were checking liquor businesses.
The checks took place at establishments on the White Earth Reservation.
At about 4:18 p.m., undisclosed under-21 decoys entered Pinehurst.
The business is listed at 273 County Road 4 in Nay Tah Waush.
The complaint says the decoys later left with a six-pack of Ciderboys Apple Peach Hard Cider.
The decoys reported that a bartender sold them the alcohol.
They also reported that the bartender did not ask for identification.
Complaint Identifies Bartender
The complaint says law enforcement later followed up at Pinehurst Resort on December 4, 2025.
A bartender was shown a photo of the worker who allegedly served the decoys.
The bartender identified the woman as Martha Christine Hoover, according to court records.
Authorities later spoke with Hoover and confirmed her full name and date of birth.
No officer names are being included in this report.

Hoover is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
