Mother Questions Fate of Funds Raised for Deceased Fishermen

RED LAKE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The mother of a 17-year old boy who was 1 of 2 people who died in a fishing accident on Red Lake in November of 2017 is asking whatever happened to the money raised by the Red Lake Tribal Council to help the families in this case.
the mother of a 17 year old boy who died in a fishing accident on Red Lake in November of 2017 is calling out the Red Lake tribal council here’s our original report on the accident two fishermen are missing and for a Red Lake fisheries boat capsized near the cutoff on the eastern side of lower Red Lake late Monday afternoon according to our release on the Red Lake Police Department one of three boat occupants swam to shore and was rescued by some passers-by then taken to the Red Lake Indian Health Service for treatment of hypothermia the two missing fishermen have been identified as 29 year old DeLand Folio and a 17 year old juvenile male then on November 27 to 2017 the Red Lake tribal council posted this on Facebook the Red Lake tribal council has set up a donation fund for the families of the missing fishermen at First National Bank Bemidji any monetary donation made would be greatly appreciated and can be deposited under the account of Red Lake band of Chippewa Indians fishermen a benefit account then in May of 2018 both bodies were recovered 29 year old dealing the bully oh and the 17 year old male whose name was never released and now today two years after this happened Lonny ray ofwar Road who says she’s the mother of the 17 year old who died is asking what happened to the money that was raised by the Tribal Council posting on Facebook quote my name is Nancy Hardy Lonny ray as a nickname I grew up with all my life I want to ask if anybody remembers this post talking about the Red Lake tribal council raising posts for raising money for the missing fishermen I’m the mother of the 17 year old that went missing and when they found him I asked the Red Lake Tribal Council for some of the donations to help with funeral costs and I was told by the tribal secretary they needed to have a meeting to decide what they were going to do with it I haven’t heard from them ever since I may be wrong but wasn’t this supposed to be for the families and not the tribal council to decide what to do with it it states in the post for the families like I said I might be wrong but isn’t that fraud haven’t received anything from that account and would like input on what you think about the matter again that was a post on Facebook from Lonnie ray who says she’s the mother of the 17 year old who died in that fishing accident I news has left a message with the Tribal Council Administration office it is Sunday we’ll see if we can find out or get any response this week from them I’m Neil Berg reporting for I news TV
