Mother and Child Injured in Rear-End Collision Near Grand Forks Airport

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – An incident unfolded Monday evening near the Grand Forks Airport as a mother and her child suffered serious injuries in a rear-end collision. At approximately 6:41 p.m., their vehicle, a Ford Focus, was struck from behind while stationary at a stoplight on Highway 2. The 26-year-old female driver sustained severe injuries, while her juvenile passenger, a 5-year-old, also suffered serious harm. The impact came from a Ram pickup driven by 43-year-old Travis Bell of Fordville, North Dakota. Bell was promptly arrested for criminal vehicular injury. The crash, which occurred at the Highway 2 and airport intersection, is under investigation, with details forthcoming.
