Moorhead Man Charged in Large Meth Case

Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Moorhead man is facing multiple felony drug charges after authorities say a search uncovered large amounts of suspected methamphetamine and other controlled substances.

Jason Clarence Fliflet, 45, of Fargo, North Dakota, was charged in Clay County District Court following a July 8, 2026 investigation.

Multiple Drug Charges Filed

Court documents state Fliflet faces six felony counts. The charges include aggravated first-degree sale of methamphetamine and aggravated first-degree possession of methamphetamine.

Additional charges include first-degree drug sale, first-degree drug possession, second-degree possession involving psilocybin mushrooms, and fifth-degree controlled substance possession.

The complaint says the case involves suspected methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, and amphetamine dextroamphetamine.

The charges are allegations contained in a criminal complaint. Fliflet is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Investigation Led to Search Warrants

According to the complaint, investigators began looking into Fliflet after receiving information about possible drug activity.

Authorities said information provided during the investigation pointed to possible methamphetamine distribution from a Moorhead residence.

The complaint states investigators tracked Fliflet’s vehicle and phone activity before obtaining search warrants.

Authorities said the tracking information showed travel between the Moorhead area and the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

Search Finds Suspected Drugs

According to court documents, investigators stopped Fliflet in Barnesville after he returned to the Clay County area.

The complaint states a search of his Jeep found suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Authorities reported finding about 1,345 grams of suspected methamphetamine in several bags.

The complaint also states investigators found additional suspected methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, cash, and a digital scale.

Authorities reported the total amount of suspected methamphetamine found during the investigation was about 1,372.91 grams.

The complaint states investigators also searched a Moorhead residence connected to Fliflet.

That search reportedly found additional suspected drugs and pills identified as amphetamine dextroamphetamine.

Previous Drug Convictions Listed

Court records state Fliflet has previous felony convictions involving controlled substances.

The complaint lists prior cases from Minnesota and North Dakota involving drug possession and methamphetamine-related offenses.

Prosecutors are seeking continued court proceedings as the case moves forward.
