Wright County (trfnews.i234.me) — Two vehicles collided on Highway 25 near School Blvd in Monticello, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash occurred at 5:09 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2025, when a 2009 Ford Edge made a U-turn while traveling northbound. A 2013 Chevy Equinox was southbound on Highway 25 at the time.
What happened
The Minnesota State Patrol report says the Ford Edge was making a U-turn when it collided with the southbound Chevy Equinox. The road was listed as dry at the time of the crash.
Alcohol was not involved in the crash, and seat belts were in use by both drivers and passengers. Airbags deployed in both vehicles.

Drivers and passengers identified
The driver of the Chevy Equinox was identified as Daphnee Joy Meyer, 18, of Saint Cloud. The report lists non-life-threatening injuries. She was not transported to a healthcare facility.
Her passenger, 14-year-old Haylen A. Myer of Saint Cloud, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The report says she was transported to Monticello Hospital.
The driver of the Ford Edge was identified as Andy Omar Farromeque Acosta, 44, of Monticello. The report lists non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Monticello Hospital.
Response and safety reminder
Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire, CentraCare, and Allina Medics assisted at the scene. The incident is under investigation.
