Lewiston: Hwy 14 Crash Sends Woman to Hospital

LEWISTON, Winona County (trfnews.i234.me) — A two-vehicle crash in Lewiston sent a Winona woman to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash on Monday, December 15, 2025. The time was 6:52 a.m.

The crash happened at Highway 14 and County Road 25 in Lewiston. The road was listed as dry.

What happened

Troopers said a 2019 Buick Encore was traveling west on Highway 14. A 2013 Mercedes C4 was traveling east on Highway 14.

The State Patrol said the Mercedes was turning onto County Road 25. The vehicles then collided.

The report does not explain what led to the crash. The State Patrol listed two vehicles involved.

The Buick driver was Melanie Anne Hawley, 52, of Winona.

Troopers reported Hawley had non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to Winona Hospital.

The report says Hawley was not wearing a seat belt. The Buick’s airbag deployed.

The Mercedes driver was a 16-year-old girl. The report did not list her name.

Troopers reported alcohol was not involved.

Lewiston Fire and Lewiston EMS responded. The State Patrol listed the report as “information believed complete.”
