Monday’s Weather in Grand Forks: Forecast

good morning and welcome to und weather update my name is lauren larson taking a look outside in grand forks we see a little bit of frost on the ground this morning it is currently 22 degrees and winds are out of the west at 6 miles an hour taking a look at those headlines fog this morning should be cleared out of grand forks but is lingering in northern minnesota and we have a nice work week ahead with some sunny days and warmer temperatures unfortunately all good things must come to an end and those warmer temperatures will be returning to average later this week taking a look at the national satellite and radar we have this cold front through parts of the midwest not a lot going on as we look out further to the west besides some high pressure systems off to the southeast we see this significant precipitation system along the east coast stretching all the way down into florida taking a look at those temperatures 22 in grand forks as well as salt lake city for those coldest spots here this morning it is 32 degrees in rapid city and 31 in kansas city looking off to the east 35 in washington dc and 67 down in miami this morning zooming into our region 24 degrees currently in fargo 34 in bismarck and 29 in aberdeen looking to minnesota 26 in both bemidji and international falls now taking a look at the almanac this time of year normal temperatures are 23 degrees as a high and six as an overnight low however yesterday in grand forks we saw a high of 46 and a low of 18. we can expect similar weather here today looking at our region’s futurecast not a lot going on besides that fog in northern minnesota as we go throughout the day today and into tomorrow our biggest threat will be some patchy clouds across the region for the next few days looking at today in grand forks a high of 43 and mostly sunny winds are going to be fairly light out of the northwest at 5 to 10 miles an hour looking at our region 46 is a high in fargo and 32 in both bemidji and brainerd today looking into south dakota 60 is a high is the high today in pier and 65 in rapid city 54 is the high in minot overnight tonight 24 in grand forks and 25 in fargo 26 as we look across most parts of the region 26 in marshall as well as aberdeen and 29 28 overnight in minneapolis tomorrow in grand forks our high is going to be 47 it’s our warmest day of the week and it is going to be sunny winds out of the west northwest at 5 to ten miles an hour gusting up to twenty taking a look at the next seven days we have a gorgeous start to the week highs in the forties and sunny later in the week dropping a little bit closer to average and cloudy we do have that twenty percent chance of precipitation on friday it could be flurries it could be rain depending on the temperature at that time and into this weekend dropping again to average temperatures thanks so much for watching und weather update my name is lauren larson
