MONDAY WEATHER ALERT: Winter Storm Watches and Warnings

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued Winter Storm Watches and Warnings across the region.
here’s a look at Grand Forks from the UND sky cam at 5 25 a.m on this Monday we’ve got watches and warnings across the region for most of the river valley here winter storm watch remains in effect from this evening through late Wednesday night mixed precipitation is possible then heavy snow snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch possible winds could gust as high as 35 miles per hour portions of Northwest and West Central Minnesota and Northeast and Southeast North Dakota travel could become very difficult and uh looking a bit farther west out by Jamestown and Points West a winter storm warning is in effect from 6 p.m tonight until 6 p.m 6 a.m Thursday uh freezing drizzle expected ice accumulations around a light glaze for the winter storm warning heavy mixed precipitation expected uh total ice accumulations between 1 and 2 10 of an inch possible through Tuesday morning followed by snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches with wind gusts as high as 40 miles per hour so after this evening it looks like we could have uh travel problems around the region stay tuned I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
