Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 6:02 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of 32nd Avenue South and South 31st Street in Grand Forks following a severe collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
According to the Grand Forks Police Department, 18-year-old Jordan Anderson of Grand Forks was operating a 1996 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on 32nd Avenue South. Simultaneously, 48-year-old Samuel Turner of Mesa, Arizona, was driving a 2023 Dodge Ram westbound and attempting a left turn onto South 31st Street. As Turner initiated the turn, Anderson’s motorcycle collided with the pickup truck, becoming lodged beneath it. The impact caused both vehicles to become fully engulfed in flames, resulting in total loss.
Anderson sustained severe, incapacitating injuries and was transported to Altru Hospital for treatment. Turner was uninjured in the incident.
The Grand Forks Fire Department, Altru paramedics, and several bystanders provided immediate assistance at the scene. The Grand Forks Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash. No citations have been issued at this time.
