Thief River Falls, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A minor parking-related collision was reported in Thief River Falls on the afternoon of April 19.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., police responded to the 1200 block of Greenwood Street East after receiving a report of a two-vehicle accident. According to the report, Sarah Smeby of Thief River Falls was backing a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado out of a driveway located at 1212 Greenwood Street East when her truck struck a legally parked 2017 Ford F-150.

The Ford F-150, owned by Robert Huot of Thief River Falls, was parked on the north side of the street at the time of the incident.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the accident resulted in minor vehicle damage. No citations were mentioned in the initial report, and both parties remained at the scene to cooperate with the responding officers.

Minor accidents like these are common in residential neighborhoods where limited visibility from driveways and parked vehicles increases the risk of backing collisions.
