Krista Rachelle Bergeron, 33, has been sentenced to 48 months in prison after being caught selling methamphetamine in Pennington County.
Key Details:
- Bergeron was convicted of felony first-degree controlled substance sales
- She cannot own or possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- She was ordered to provide a DNA sample
- Bergeron was fined $210 in court fees
The Undercover Operation 
Police utilized a confidential informant (CI) in a sting operation conducted by the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force (PTPDTF):
- Oct. 31 – CI informed police that Bergeron could get 28 grams of meth for $800
- $800 was sent via Cash App, and Bergeron confirmed receipt of payment
- Nov. 2 – Bergeron only delivered 15.2 grams of meth in a meeting at Ralph Engelstad Arena
- She returned $160 to the informant, citing supply shortages
The Second Drug Deal & Arrest 
Nov. 15: The CI contacted police, stating Bergeron offered 14 grams of meth for $400
Nov. 17: Bergeron met the CI at Cenex Travel Plaza, delivering 14.9 grams of meth
Accomplices Involved 
- Ethan Alexander Johnson, 26 – Allegedly drove Bergeron to one of the drug deals and was caught possessing a meth-filled needle
- Brandon Louis Housey – Allegedly drove Bergeron to the Cenex deal and initially denied knowing about the drug exchange but later admitted he was expecting gas money, food, and possibly a bag of “dope” in return
Both Johnson and Housey’s cases are still pending in the court system.
