Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to at least 30 years in prison for his involvement in a fatal shooting last year. Tremaine Michael Bucholz, 27, received the sentence on Dec. 30 in Hennepin County District Court after his conviction for aiding and abetting first-degree murder and second-degree murder in the Aug. 9, 2023, incident.
Court documents indicate Bucholz was involved in a drive-by shooting near Thomas Avenue North and Oak Park Avenue in Minneapolis. Surveillance footage captured him firing multiple shots from a van at a female victim, who was struck in the back. The victim later died at the hospital. Evidence presented at the trial included surveillance video, witness identification, and forensic analysis of the vehicle.
Bucholz was acquitted of aiding and abetting first-degree premeditated murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with eligibility for parole after serving a minimum of 30 years. Credit was granted for 483 days served during pre-trial detention.
