Minneapolis Man Charged with Felony Assault at East Grand Forks Treatment Center

EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On January 3, 2025, law enforcement responded to a reported disturbance at Douglas Place Treatment Center, located at 1111 Gateway Drive NE, East Grand Forks, Minnesota

The victim reported that while waiting in line for food, Khauim Artes Coleman, a 21-year-old male from Minneapolis, Minnesota, cut in front of him, shoved him backward, and punched him in the face. Subsequently, Coleman was arrested and charged with felony assault.

Court documents indicate that Coleman has three prior assault convictions. According to arrest records, he was previously arrested on August 17, 2023, for domestic assault by strangulation

Additionally, reports show that Coleman was arrested on January 6, 2025, in East Grand Forks for assault

Douglas Place Treatment Center is an 85-bed residential addiction treatment facility offering services for both men and women, including treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders
