MIDDLE RIVER, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 39-year-old Middle River man will serve no prison time for sexually abusing a minor, and his case will be dismissed if he completes 30 years of supervised probation.
Adam William Steinhauer pleaded guilty in February to first-degree criminal sexual conduct after a girl reported in July 2024 that he had abused her from age 11 until about age 13.
Court records do not specify why probation was chosen instead of incarceration. Under the sentence, Steinhauer will be 69 years old when his probation ends.
Probation conditions include:
-
No contact with the victim
-
No alcohol or controlled substance use
-
No unsupervised contact with minors unless approved by probation and treatment staff
-
No entry to parks or school property without permission
-
No internet access or possession of sexually explicit materials
-
Must submit to polygraph tests and searches
If Steinhauer violates any terms, he could face prison time.
