McLean County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 48-year-old Mercer man died in a single-vehicle rollover early Sunday on Highway 41.

Authorities said the crash happened near mile marker 23, about two miles south of Mercer.

The crash time remains unknown. Officials said it happened during the early morning hours on June 7, 2026.

A passerby found the crash scene at about 5:58 a.m. The passerby then called 911.

Vehicle Rolled Near Mercer

According to the release, the man was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze northbound on Highway 41.

The vehicle did not make a curve in the road. It then left the roadway and rolled.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released in the initial report.

Road conditions were dry at the time. Weather conditions were also reported as dry.

Several Agencies Responded

The North Dakota State Patrol responded to the crash.

The McLean County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.

McLean County Ambulance and the McLean County Coroner were also involved.

The crash remains part of the official fatal crash report process.
