Medina (trfnews.i234.me) — A Florida man died Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 55 in Medina.

George Michael Ehman, 68, of Cape Coral, Florida, was killed in the October 3 crash.

Two people from Plymouth suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened around 10:11 a.m. near County Road 116 in Hennepin County.

Vehicles Collide On Highway 55

According to the crash report, a 2006 Mercedes was traveling west on Highway 55.

A 2015 Ford F-150 was making a left turn from southbound to eastbound.

The vehicles collided just west of County Road 116.

Ehman was driving the Ford pickup.

Authorities reported that he was not wearing a seat belt.

Ehman suffered fatal injuries and died following the crash.

The report states that the roadway was dry at the time.

Two People Injured In Mercedes

Randall Thomas Lofgren, 75, of Plymouth, was driving the Mercedes.

Lofgren suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.

He was transported to North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale.

A passenger, Anthony Deandre Clarke, 29, of Plymouth, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Clarke was taken to North Memorial Health for treatment.

Both Lofgren and Clarke were wearing seat belts, according to the crash report.

Airbags deployed in both vehicles.

Alcohol Not Suspected

Authorities reported that alcohol was not suspected for either driver.

The crash report specifically noted that an unbelted occupant was involved in the fatal crash.

Several agencies responded to the scene.

They included police from Medina, Plymouth, and Corcoran.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Medina Fire Department also responded.

North Memorial personnel and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner assisted.

The crash remained listed as a fatal incident in the latest information provided.
