GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — On Saturday evening around 8:15 p.m., a significant altercation occurred at Winterland Apartments, located at 4275 Fifth Avenue North in Grand Forks. According to Sergeant O’Neal of the Grand Forks Police Department, two groups, each comprising approximately 30 individuals—including both juveniles and adults—engaged in a heated dispute that escalated into what authorities describe as “mutual combat.”
Sergeant O’Neal noted that this location has been the site of multiple similar incidents, attributing the recurring disturbances to an ongoing feud between the two groups. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this particular incident. Police were able to disperse the crowd, and all individuals were sent on their way. However, the underlying tensions between these groups remain a concern for local law enforcement.

In December 2023, a resident was charged with felony arson after allegedly setting multiple fires within the complex, causing over $5,000 in damages.
