Marshall County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Newfolden man is facing two misdemeanor charges following a traffic stop that revealed he was driving with a revoked license and had an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
On May 7, 2025, at approximately 10:11 PM, Richard Curtis McGregor, 63, of Newfolden, MN, was stopped by Deputy Troy Brekke (Badge #408) of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office near State Highway 1 NW and 220th Ave NW. McGregor was operating a 2008 white Chevrolet Silverado.
During the stop, Deputy Brekke observed that the vehicle’s driver’s side headlight was out. Upon approaching the vehicle, he noticed an empty Busch Light can on the driver’s side floor. McGregor admitted to consuming the beer while driving. Although he passed the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, it was discovered that his driver’s license was revoked. McGregor was cited for the following offenses:
