GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting another man over a marijuana dispute.

On June 26th, police responded to a call at a Grand Forks apartment complex where they found 47-year-old Luai Elfaki holding a chair. According to court documents, Elfaki had asked another man for marijuana and became violent when the man said he didn’t have any. Elfaki reportedly swung the chair at the man, hitting him.

When officers arrived, Elfaki resisted arrest, hitting one officer before being subdued and handcuffed. Elfaki now faces four felony charges: terrorizing, aggravated assault, preventing arrest, and simple assault.
