Man sustains critical injuries in train collision near Grand Forks: Video update

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Langdon, North Dakota man suffered life threatening injuries, when his pickup was sheared in half by a train west of Grand Forks Friday morning.
we have an update on this catastrophic crash between a pickup and train uh some four miles west of grand forks on demers avenue about 9 10 a.m on this friday a 34 year old langdon north dakota man received life-threatening injuries his name has not been released yet the north dakota highway patrol says the ram pickup was being driven south approaching the intersection of 17th avenue here at the railroad crossing as he as the pickup crossed the rails the left side of the pickup was struck by the front of a westbound bnsf train caused the ram pickup to break apart and overturn the driver was transported to altru hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries the railroad crossing is marked with cross bucks and a yield sign the bnsf train consisted of one locomotive and 85 empty hopper cars the locomotive was moderately damaged no train crew members were injured the crash remains under investigation i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
