Man Returns to Court Following Fatal East Grand Forks Accident

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Valenin Mendoza, the man involved in an East Grand Forks crash that killed 2 young man was back in court in Grand Forks today. He’s charged with violating the terms of his probation on a Robbery conviction.
we have an update regarding valentin mendoza of grand forks he was a driver back in june the minnesota state patrol says cross the center line and hit another vehicle head on here in east grand forks the driver and passenger of that vehicle died from their injuries ethan carson and damien powell both of grand forks i just talked with jesse grabo of the minnesota state patrol who says this crash is still under investigation meanwhile mendoza was back in court again today on this wednesday in regards to a 2019 robbery of the loaf and jug in grand forks he along with his partner raymond algrim uh pled guilty under a plea deal both were sentenced to five years three suspended and two years probation well on this monday or on this wednesday mendoza was back in court again for allegedly violating the terms of his probation according to court records there are four alleged incidents in where mendoza broke probation the court says one the defendant violated condition eight in that he left the state of north dakota without permission the second allegation is uh that he was in possession of a firearm the uh third allegation is that uh he admitted to drinking fear uh no alcohol allowed under his probation and the fourth allegation is that the defendant used marijuana uh bail was set at five thousand dollars uh following today’s hearing uh he’s made that bail by posting uh five hundred dollars and as uh out of jail on this uh wednesday evening a revocation hearing is set for september 7th uh the judge uh could rule to have him serve his uh prison sentence at that hearing i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
