Becker County (trfnews.i234.me) — Joshua Michael Bailey, a resident of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, is facing felony charges following a high-speed chase and concerning behavior reported on May 15, 2025.

According to court documents, Bailey entered the Becker County Sheriff’s Office in Detroit Lakes, making several alarming claims, including that his ex-wife had hacked his phone, he had exposed individuals involved in criminal sexual conduct, and that 45 to 50 people were pursuing him.

After a discussion with deputies, Bailey attempted to leave the premises. A deputy informed him that he could not drive due to his canceled license. Despite this, Bailey departed in his vehicle, prompting a pursuit.

The chase spanned approximately six miles, with speeds ranging between 50 and 70 mph. It concluded that when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, bringing Bailey’s vehicle to a stop. Upon arrest, Bailey admitted to methamphetamine use earlier that day and expressed intentions to obtain a firearm and harm others.

Bailey is now charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
