Man Arrested in Otter Tail County Admits to Thefts in Cass and Clay Counties

CASS COUNTY, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – In a recent development, Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner revealed that a man apprehended for theft and drug-related offenses in Otter Tail County has confessed to multiple thefts in Cass and Clay Counties.

Wyatt Johnson, a 33-year-old resident of Hankinson, North Dakota, was apprehended at Harvest States French Elevator near Fergus Falls on March 2nd.

According to Jahner, elevators in Cass County, specifically in Arthur, Page, and Ayr, were targeted during February and early March.

Investigators under Jahner’s command managed to extract a confession from Johnson regarding the thefts.

Sheriff Mark Empting of Clay County corroborated Jahner’s statement, asserting that Johnson admitted to burglarizing an elevator in Georgetown, located north of Moorhead.

As of now, charges against Johnson have not been formally filed in either Cass or Clay Counties, indicating that the investigation is still ongoing.
