Mahnomen County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)Jeremy Curtis Neeland, 47, of Mahnomen, has been charged with financial transaction card fraud after investigators say he was caught on surveillance video using a stolen EBT card during a coordinated fraud spree involving two other suspects.

On January 2, 2025, the card’s owner, T.L.H., reported the theft after receiving her new card in the mail. She awoke to find the card—and visitors Dustin William Jack and Nea Marie Keezer—gone. She had not yet activated a PIN, allowing others to set it and begin making unauthorized withdrawals.

Authorities tracked $333.04 in fraudulent charges across four stores. Video footage from McArthur’s Village Store on January 4 showed Neeland with Keezer using the stolen EBT card to pay $37.79.

Neeland now faces one count of financial card fraud, a gross misdemeanor under Minnesota Statute 609.821.2(2), punishable by up to 364 days in jail or a $3,000 fine.
