Lisbon Man Dies in Ransom County Bridge Crash

Ransom County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 46-year-old Lisbon man died Saturday night after a rural crash. The wreck happened near the Sheyenne River.

The crash happened at about 9:59 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2026. It occurred in the 12300 block of Valley Road near 62nd Street Southeast.

Pickup Left Rural Road

The man drove a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado east on Valley Road. The pickup traveled downhill into the Sheyenne River Valley. It was approaching a bridge that crosses the river.

Before reaching the bridge, the pickup left the right side of the roadway. It then struck the end of a concrete bridge rail.

The driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the North Dakota State Patrol.

Authorities have not released the driver’s name. The initial report identified him only as a 46-year-old Lisbon resident.

Emergency Crews Responded

The North Dakota State Highway Patrol responded to the crash. The Ransom County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.
