July 4th Tragedy: Murder at Downtown Grand Forks Bar

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Grand Forks Police have released an official statement regarding a murder that occurred at a downtown bar on the Fourth of July. According to Sergeant Owski, at 7:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to Sledsters Food and Brew on South Fourth Street for a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, they found an adult victim inside the establishment with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to their injuries.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Narveson of Grand Forks, was detained without incident at Tea and Crepes, 307 Demers Avenue. Narvis has been arrested and charged with murder. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat. The Grand Forks Police Department extends gratitude to the Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru paramedics for their assistance at the scene.
